Go Far, Go Fast, Have Fun

Sydney has it all!

Hills for climbing, stretches of flat to get your speed up, with a spectacular back drop of ocean, harbour, gorges and bush.

We ride all of it.

Our Road Rides follow routes all over Greater Sydney, following the more popular routes such as West Head and Akuna bay in the Ku-ring-gai NP, to Sublime Point through the Royal National Park, or West along the M7.

Whilst the focus is on riding, we don’t forget the park up! (We always make time for a coffee and a baked good along the way.)

For these rides you will need a road bike and a good level of fitness. The rides often involve hills and busy road routes, so you’ll need a high degree of confidence on the bike.

  • The distances will usually be between 80-120km with a pace of around 25-28km/h depending on who is riding.

  • We ride early to minimise exposure to the cars and sun.

  • All rides are no drop rides.

  • We’ll ride as a bunch when conditions or numbers allow.

  • All riders must follow the Conditions of Riding with Sydney Spokes.

If you are new to road or bunch riding, let us know, and we’ll organise a more accomodating ride. We are keen to encourage others to enjoy riding as much as we do!

We’re always looking for the next challenge, including away trips to other great cycling areas such as Alpine Victoria, South Australia, and ACT.
