We are Sydney Spokes

We’re an inclusive LGBTQIA+ social cycling club that cherishes our diverse members and long history. Our focus is on bringing people together to foster new connections, while sharing our love of cycling. We fully support riders who are new or returning to the sport, while still offering opportunities for our advanced cyclists.

For this reason, we opt for smaller groups with plenty of scenic stops, meaning you can participate at a level that’s right for you. With our beginner-intermediate rides often taking place on cycling paths and quieter streets, you won’t need to know advanced signalling or rider etiquette, and we’ll brief you before you start on anything you do need to know to keep you safe.

Alternately, if you’re joining us from a road cycling background, then we’re ready to chop.

Most of our rides are around Sydney, with some opportunities to get out of town and out of Australia a few times each year. Coastal rides and harbour rides are our favourites.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Sydney Spokes welcomes and celebrates all riders regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, age, cultural background, religious beliefs or abilities.

Acknowledgement of Country

Sydney Spokes acknowledges the traditional owners of the country on which our rides take place and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders, past and present.

Our history

Sydney Spokes has been rolling since 1986!
